The way you connect the Skeleton to the SmartiXs determine which parts of the Glyphs will be edited together in all of the Marked Glyphs!
Click on the upper grey part of the Glyph to Mark(select) it for editing. Click on the lower red Glyph part to make it appear in the Workarea.
This is the initial work layer where you control character's Skeleton.
Progress as much as possible in this layer, editing and designing your font's Skeleton before moving to the Outline layer.
This is the second work layer where you control the character's Outline.
In the current version of FontArk, changes made in the Outline layer are not saved should you go back and edit the Skeleton. So make sure you change the Outline layer LAST!

Snap to Grid Matrix and SmartX
Snap to Grid will force elements to snap to the Grid lines.
Snap to SmartXs is essential for fast Skeleton drawing.
Snap to Matrix helps move elements vertically or horizontally along the Matrix lines.
Move or Reset each SmartX individually, and other SmartX editing.
To show or hide the Matrix, Rulers, Grid, SmartX and the Character border lines (e.g., Baseline).
Use these arrows carefully!
Your project's Capital, Lowercase, Numbers and Punctuation Glyphs are always here, Selectable and editable.
New Blank Custom project Glyphs are EMPTY but WILL SHOW UP when you start drawing in them.
Preview your font while working.
Generate your font and download once you're done.
Downloading a font costs 1 credit!
Click to Rename.
